As far as adding a new package this close to release, I'll let you use your good judgment in deciding that it is stable, and there won't be support issues. And as far as what Dan said about it being "my call", let's all go forward with the knowledge that if you think a package deserves consideration for the book, simply make a Trac ticket, or write a note to -dev and wait a few days to see if anyone has any issues with it. If there are no negative comments (or few compared to the positive ones) then just jump in and do it. Please don't think I need to approve anyone adding a package to BLFS. If you have commit rights to the BLFS repo, that means you already have the confidence, faith and trust of the other editors, including me. As Nike says, "Just do it". :-) > Regarding Trac: I logged out, closed the page and deleted my cookies, > logged back in but there still is no Action section. Your account probably needs some tweaking to get the right permissions. Bruce has been doing it, but he sent me an email with the procedure to do it as well. I'll find it and see if I can't get this done for you. In the meantime, just do what you think is best. This message alone is enough to let everyone know it's your deal now. :-) Welcome aboard Christian. I'm looking forward to your contributions. And after your permissions are set in Trac, don't be afraid to accept some of the 6.3 tickets and knock them out. :-) There's not many left that aren't already assigned, but perhaps you see something that might be up your alley. -- Randy rmlscsi: [bogomips 1003.22] [GNU ld version 2.16.1] [gcc (GCC) 4.0.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.6] [Linux 2.6.14.3 i686] 18:46:00 up 37 days, 9:34, 1 user, load average: 0.08, 0.02, 0.01 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
