 The more important thing, IMHO, is to build cups before gtk+
so that cups printer queues appear in gnome/gtk applications
when printing (I only got around to fixing that in my own builds
recently - makes a world of difference).

 Having said that, I agree that gs tests for cups.

 But, does anybody need foomatic ?  I used to build it,
until Alexander asked if I really needed it - testing
showed it wasn't doing anything useful for me.  All my
printing is driven by gutenprint.
