Hi all,

I know this has been briefly discussed, but I think I remember
someone not too long ago having an issue with a non-standard
D-Bus services directory and having to use an
/etc/dbus-1/session-local.conf file and it messing something up.
I'm strictly going on something *I think* I remember.

Anyway, we provide instructions on the Gnome-VFS instructions
to reference the D-Bus page for instructions on setting up the
D-Bus services directory if your GNOME installation is anything
other than /usr.

This can be avoided. If we pass

--with-dbus-service-dir=/usr/share/dbus-1/services

to the configure command, you will always end up with

/usr/share/dbus-1/services/gnome-vfs-daemon.service

The only downside of this is that GNOME pieces become spread
out into the /usr directory structure, but this happens elsewhere,
I believe. I am for changing the GNOME-VFS instructions to add
the switch and the file always being where it is supposed to without
user intervention.

Comments?
