Okay, then I'm going to leave it alone as upstream officially does not
support anything other than libusb. While the hybrid patch looks good
for backwards compatibility, I just don't see the point of it being
added to BLFS as it still requires libusb. Why not just use libusb
instead of kernel at that point? I figure that the added note covers the
book's responsibility to the users, or at least puts them on the right
track for the next couple of weeks till somebody can get to it (assuming
here that something else does need to be done regarding udev
permissions). If we do need to fix the udev rule permissions, I'm not
comfortable with blindly allowing lp to /dev/bus/usb/*/*.  The rules
will have to be more specific than that.
