On that one (with a radeon 7500 / r100, and using kms) I get an infrequent segfault *somewhere* in xorg. My guess is that one of the screensavers provokes it, although only X and the driver show in the minimal trace. 1.7 on the same hardware was rock solid. I've now got an LFS-6.7 build on the 9200se / r200, will install the same things on that this week.
But, I guess I'm even less of a graphical user - sometimes heavy gimp/ufraw/ImageMagick for photo editing, beyond that only totem/xine, firefox/epiphany/midori(particularly for html5) are particularly graphical - I can go days using mostly just the browsers and rxvt-unicode on icewm. ĸen -- das eine Mal als Tragödie, das andere Mal als Farce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
