Hello everybody,

this is my first post to the BLFS community so if I messed something up sorry :)

I finished installing LFS 7.0 without any problems (build with Debian
6 as host) and went straigth to BLFS (Version 2011-11-29) to X-window
install chapter. I got to MesaLib, which requires libdrm. Libdrm
requires cairo, and cairo requires pixman. The book provides a link to
http://cairographics.org/releases/pixman-0.15.20.tar.gz, but it
doesn't exist. As I wanted to follow the book I found the exact
version on lfs page, installed it without problems and went back to
cairo. Cairo, during configuration, stated:

checking whether cairo's image surface backend feature could be
enabled... no (requires pixman-1 >= 0.18.4
http://cairographics.org/releases/)
configure: error: mandatory image surface backend feature could not be enabled

So I just wanted to mention this fact. I installed the newest version
available at cairographics.org (rigth now it's
http://cairographics.org/releases/pixman-0.24.0.tar.gz) and on LFS 7.0
everything went ok (just one warning about a variable set but not
being used, for the curious ones:

CC lowlevel-blt-bench.o
lowlevel-blt-bench.c: In function 'bench_L':
lowlevel-blt-bench.c:155:18: warning: variable 'qx' set but not used
[-Wunused-but-set-variable]

Also, didn't issue the make check since I didn't install gtk+, but
cairo and metalib got installed fine. Again, didn't "make -k check" on
cairo since it says that many tests fail for unknown reasons, so
didn't see the purpose).

Hope it helps.
