CONFIG_EXT4_FS_XATTR=y, but I do not use the user_xattr option when
mounting my filesystem (and the only reason I even enabled that was I
thought it may be nice to preserve windows permissions when using a
samba share [that did not seem to work btw]).

only installed it to install cdrkit.
