Ditto 2.25 which you mentioned earlier.
More importantly - which packages *in the book* can't be built ? There is nothing to stop you having both versions to suit the packages you build, and if the book's need is *proved* then we'll have to go with -3 and -2 versions of gtkmm (if we can't solve it by upgrading the other package). NB if you are building gnome-3, you should still be referring to Wayne's book.
