I'm guessing you had java installed? Last time I tried compiling
Libre-Office 3.5.1 I used --without-java and --without-junit and when
the build failed the error message mentioned junit. I didn't keep a
copy of the error I just deleted it all and ran away ;)

Are you suggesting that Apache-Ant is no longer required?
