If Gtk is to be compiled with introspection support it has to be installed before atk, pango and all the the deps. It doesn't matter how many Gnome apps need introspection, only people who're installing Gnome need it. For us mere mortals who don't install Gnome, Gobject Introspection causes nothing but problems with _no_ benefit.
