I would rather get back to LFS itself - but Matt and Bruce have
been doing a good job, there is very little there that will benefit
from my attention at the moment. For BLFS, I'm taking the time to
explore some things from the xfce stack. Apart from the few things
I want to do, I hope to just get back to seeing that things still
build with LFS-svn : quite surprised that (from what I build, both in
and beyond BLFS) only openjade was affected by the loss of the perl4
core libs in perl-5.16.0, and only agg has been trashed by
automake-1.12 (although I won't build that again - gnash still seems
useless to me).

LOL. I do what I can - people point out the errors when they
notice.

I no longer do Fahrenheit, but I think that's about 22°C : here, we
probably just about saw that today - Britain is having one of it's
worst summers for many years. Fortunately, we don't have that
amount of humidity.

 It's a learning experience ;)

Modules are not a sign of failure! Over time, in stages (and
*after* you have solved the other problem), check which modules are
loaded - you can then either build them in, or leave them as
modules, and try deselecting a number of the other modules, then
rebuilding the kernel and retesting.

 You're getting there.
