I've failed to respond to this because I wanted to test it first. I just
finished rebuilding most of Xorg stack because of the headers/libs upgrade.

It appears to work fine and I see you've already made the changes to the
book. I ommited the driver upgrade today since it looked to me you were
interested into upgrading it.

If something goes wrong, we can always revert it.
