Ploughing on through the deps for things I haven't yet built with make-4.0, I came to ibus.
Grepping through the xml, this was obviously included because some gnome packages used it. But those packages have now been archived - systemd fallout, I suppose. The only reason this is still in the book, if I'm reading correctly, is because kdeplasma-addons can use it for something or other (kdeplasma-addons already has three optional deps which aren't in the book, the difference with ibus is that we don't mention whatever it provides). Looking at the deps, its clearly a gnome package (dconf is required). Does it still belong in the book ? Note that I'm not going to build it on my system with kde packages, there isn't room there for the myriad gnome deps. ĸen -- das eine Mal als Tragödie, dieses Mal als Farce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
