I have read in several places that not only Openbox can be used with LXDE.

LXDE can be run without WM, but no window decorations, no mouse cursor,
no windows movements.

I have not used icewm before, but to open a terminal and run "uname -r"
and "shutdown ...".

Today, I have tried IceWM-1.3.7 with LXDE. It works (sort of). First,
there is a configuration to replace openbox-lxde by icwm, in Menu >
Preferences > Desktop Session Configurations > Advanced. Perhaps there
is some other configuration, in some file or not: I have got
window-decoration and mouse cursor, but no window movement. Also, to
change from one window to the other, only clicking inside the window,
not in its upper bar.

I wanted to add icewm as option to openbox in lxde-common-0.5.5, but the
only thing I could do, for the moment, was to put openbox as runtime
dependency.
