From what I've heard, there has been a technology preview not so long ago for KF5, but not for Plasma Workspaces 2 and KWin 5. The trick is, all libraries that were part of kdepim, kdelibs and kde-runtime have been split into seperate packages, so you have to build ~50 packages to get, lets say, what kdelibs installed.
