And pax-utils is a set of related utilities (originating in Gentoo hardened). I do not think they have anything to do with pax (an archiving tool). Debian has adapted a BSD version: http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/p/pax/pax_20120606.orig.tar.gz
