Hello,

Well I am now really at a loss with this. I went through and re-compiled
the whole of gnome as I noticed that they had a number of the packages
upgraded to unstable versions even though I specified the version of 3.12
in jhbuild. So I downloaded the latest released tar balls.

This fixed gedit, which it turns out the problem was with an upgraded
gtk-3 that had broken it.

I am now back to evolution and gnome terminal not working.

I do not know how to specify the debugging options to gdb so I am unable
to get anything other than process ended susccssfully.

Could someone please give the instructions to pass to gdb?

Regards,

Christopher.
