Hello, I just upgraded to util-linux to get rid of the invalid swap version 1 message in gparted, and now I have a weird issue of not being able to su - I can issue su and after entering the password for root gain root privs.
As I have a working system I used only ./configure --prefix=/usr as the configure line. This has only happened after the upgrade. I do have my sudoer's file set to not require a password when running sudo. I set it up this way when I was installing xorg as per the book instructions. Using the su - results in an instant authentication failure. I have set up gparted as per the book instructions to get it to work within gnome. This does work fine, and as I do not have to enter a password, the authentication box does not come up, but gparted does start. Without having the ssh-ask-password wrapper, it just displays the normal must be run as root. Does anyone have any idea as to what may be causing this? It just means that I won't be able to use it as a root login shell, but will this cause other issues that I am not aware of?
