I've seen Arch Linux, is using 4.2.7.p441, we are at 4.2.6p5:

[ ] ntp-4.2.6p5.tar.gz 24-Dec-2011 18:52 4.0M

[ ] ntp-dev-4.2.7p441.ta..> 04-May-2014 02:25 6.1M

Latest is

[ ] ntp-dev-4.2.7p444.ta..> 19-May-2014 05:48 6.2M

At

http://support.ntp.org/bin/view/Main/SoftwareDevelopment

we read:

"Source releases and patches

The development tarballs available in the HTTP archive are sometimes not
suitable for production work, but the dev team produces development
tarballs to provide users with specific needs the ability to get
semi-stable software with important, new features that may not be
available in the stable tree."

Considering the comment, dates and sizes, shouldn't we move to dev, too?
