I've had the FF crash since version 26. Again, since I am not a programmer, I didn't know what to do, short of changing the symlink back to point to version 24. Version 27 did the same thing, as did version 28. Got frustrated with it (there was never anything in any log relating to the crash), and recompiled FF to use the crash reporter...and that is when I saw it was cairo.
