Looking at the Wireless Tools page, I read: For many laptops, the PCMCIA bus (CONFIG_PCCARD) needs to be built. In some cases, this bus support will also need to be built for embedded wireless cards. The appropriate bridge support also needs to be built. For many modern laptops, the CardBus host bridge (CONFIG_YENTA) will be needed.
I'm sure that was accurate when it was written, but for some reason I lack the motivation to try to dig back to see when that was. To me, in 2014, a _modern_ laptop is extremely unlikely to be using PCMCIA or YENTA. Or am I, again, totally mistaken ? I can see that PCCARD _might_ be needed for machines without PCMCIA, but I do not have any idea how that would be better worded (and, for the moment, zero experience of such things). ĸen -- Nanny Ogg usually went to bed early.
