Tested BLFS-7.6 Xorg today with xf86-video-nouveau-1.0.11 on my
GeForce 9800 GT, and so far if glamor is used as the acceleration
method, the driver fails to load properly and the X-Server falls back
to the software llvmpipe driver. Has there been any word from upstream
about glamor working properly outside of the Maxwell series, or should
non-Maxwell users stick to exa for the 2D acceleration method for now?

I am the one who last updated nouveau and added the test about glamor to
the page.
I have not been able to find anything about which cards support glamor
besides the annoucements in the NEWS.
The feature matrix (http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/FeatureMatrix/)
has nothing about glamor.
That's all I can say. I haven't asked upstream.
