When I look for the libxml2 libraries on the host, I get:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 Oct 16 15:31 libxml2.so.2 -> libxml2.so.2.9.1
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1461496 Oct 16 15:31 libxml2.so.2.9.1
but when I go to the book source and do:
xmllint --noent general/graphlib/freetype2.xml | tee test | grep \>tar test
I get:
<screen><userinput>tar -xf ../freetype-doc-.tar.bz2 --strip-components=2 -C
docs</userinput></screen>
So now I'm really confused. I thought this was supposed to work with version
2.9.1 :(
If the host libxml2 version really is 2.9.1 (with no revisions) then this
suggests that the bug is not caused by libxml2-2.9.2.
If ubuntu have revised their version of 2.9.1, then I'll have to install an
even earlier version and try that - may be 2.9.0, which I think is about 2
years old.
