Also, the official release is the tarball with f8656... md5sum. So, yes, I think it should be in the book. I propose to update the md5 in the book and create a ticket about updating the file on anduin (so that Bruce does not forget). Meanwhile, if a user asks about the md5sum on anduin (which I do not expect to happen), we could point him or her to upstream.
