OK, LO-4.4 builds fine (and seems to work) without the patch on 64 bit.

I have a little problem with the instructions, though. At the end, there is
the command:
--------
update-desktop-database
--------
which is not present on my system, so that the automatically generated script
fails at this point.
This utility is from the desktop-file-utils package, which is not even among
the optional deps of LO. So, what should we do? Remove this instruction? tag
desktop-file-utils as recommended? tag it as optional, and add an entry in
command explanations?
