Well, to be fair - we do provide a way to disable recommended deps for some packages and don't use recommended deps in chains deps, only required ones. So, in my oppinion, the recommended dbus dependency to cups-filters should be added too, and an optional switch to disable it can be added in command explanations. D-Bus isn't really needed for a print server. -- Note: My last name is not Krejzi.
