Hi all
I just finished my install of core xfce 4.12 and can happily say that it builds and apparently also runs just fine on a BLFS 7.7 system.
Apart from the xfce packages, for everything I used exactly the versions in the svn version of the book and got no conflicts or strange stuff. The changes to the book I did, apart from the versions used were:
- I added --enable-gtk3 to xfce4-panel, that should allow to use gtk3 plugins.
- libxfce4gui does not exist anymore. It can just be removed from the book. That was all, the rest was done by the book. The packages I installed were: Thunar-1.6.6.tar.bz2 exo-0.10.3.tar.bz2 garcon-0.4.0.tar.bz2 gtk-xfce-engine-2.10.0.tar.bz2 libxfce4ui-4.12.0.tar.bz2 libxfce4util-4.12.1.tar.bz2 thunar-volman-0.8.1.tar.bz2 tumbler-0.1.31.tar.bz2 xfce4-appfinder-4.12.0.tar.bz2 xfce4-dev-tools-4.12.0.tar.bz2 xfce4-panel-4.12.0.tar.bz2 xfce4-power-manager-1.4.3.tar.bz2 xfce4-session-4.12.0.tar.bz2 xfce4-settings-4.12.0.tar.bz2 xfconf-4.12.0.tar.bz2 xfdesktop-4.12.0.tar.bz2 xfwm4-4.12.0.tar.bz2 In addition, I also updated the keyboard plugin to the latest version: xfce4-xkb-plugin-0.7.1.tar.bz2 -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
