The configure message:

"[...] which: command not found"

surprised me yesterday. First it seemed just a warning

It is in the configure script to test bash or dash. However, I got an
error (forgot now) when running

ntpq -p

And apparently it only worked after ntp was built with "which"
installed. Thus, is "which" required? Build time or run time? I'm not
sure, because it was the last thing in the night, almost blind and
tired. Have tried to understand, but no conclusion, reading configure*.

In that reading, I found that other libraries (included in the tree)
seem to be optional.

Just installed ntp in Mint (synaptics) and it pulled libopts25, but
which and libevent were already installed.

Summary:
which: command not found (runtime? buildtime?)

Optional (or recommended?)

It's hard for me to say. which is one of my early builds (#3 after lfs currently). But looking at the source, configure has `which bash` so I guess it's required at build time.

libopts from AutoGen https://www.gnu.org/software/autogen/
libevent

Both are included in the tarball. I suppose they can be listed, but are not really of much use for most users.

Please, can someone fix this?

Can't you do it? Are you having commit problems?
