I just ran into a minor problem with cogl. I had copied my script from another system and it had -j8. On the new box, it failed. When I fell back to -j1, it built without problem.

Is this worth mentioning? We do have a note in LFS that addresses this where we say: "If you run into a problem with a build step, revert back to a single processor build to properly analyze the error messages."

This is in the context of debugging and SBUs, but it does not explicitly discuss faulty Makefiles and race conditions.

The question is whether we need to add something to specifically address race conditions in Makefiles. If so, where should it go?
