Bruce,

With revision 16170. did minor fixes and some other modifications that
you probably forgot, working ins so many complicated things at the
same
time, because we have discussed before.

Please, if I am wrong in any, just fixe it back or tell me to do do
it.

Hope those will not upset you, just trying to spare your time.

Do not worry about "upsetting" me.

You commented out the sed to the .pc files. I had looked at those and
felt the sed was appropriate. Am I missing something?

Well, I couldn't find any difference, when applying them to Qt4. Not
sure about qt5. But if I am wrong, will be willing to uncomment for
both.

I will need to rebuild to check. I'll let you know in the morning.

I built both qt4 and qt5 and did an INSTALL_ROOT into /tmp. In both
cases I stopped immediately after the make install. Qt5 has no
references in the .pc file to the build directory, but qt4 had three:

QtDesigner.pc:Libs.private:
-L/tmp/qt4/qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.7/lib -lQtScript
-L/tmp/qt4/qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.7/lib -lQtXml -lQtGui
-L/usr/X11R6/lib -lQtCore -lpthread

QtDesignerComponents.pc:Libs.private:
-L/tmp/qt4/qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.7/lib -lQtScript
-L/tmp/qt4/qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.7/lib -lQtXml -lQtGui
-L/usr/X11R6/lib -lQtCore -lQtDesigner -lpthread

QtUiTools.pc:Libs.private:
-L/tmp/qt4/qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.7/lib -lQtXml
-L/tmp/qt4/qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.7/lib -lQtGui
-L/usr/X11R6/lib -lQtCore -lpthread

We need to uncomment the fix in qt4. If you can do that when you get a
chance, I would appreciate it.

OK, will do in my next commit. Sorry, it must have been Qt5, that I checked. Some days passed, and I really was not sure. Thanks for checking.

Still, need to include the -qt5 and -qt4 to my system, and check if VLC searches both. Was thinking if Transmission could also be an alternative to VLC, as an example.

Exiv2 is taking a little more time, because there are four new switches, two new dependencies.

I was doing a final build and suffered a (fortunately quick) power interruption in the region were I live.
