Isn't Xfce supposed to be moving into GTK+-3.x anyway? The BLFS root project
may not have GNOME per say, but it does have a lot of the software packages
that can be used with Xfce very readily. Plus, it would be portable between the
core and systemd books.

Just my $0.02.

Subject: [blfs-dev] gst-plugins (0.10) --with-gtk=3.0 : remove the switch ?

I was fixing up the bad plugins for gcc5, and somewhat shocked to
discover that both gst-plugins-bad-0.10.23 and
gst-plugins-good-0.10.31 have '--with-gtk=3.0' and the explanation
"Build against GTK+ 3 instead of the default GTK+ 2; recommended for
a GNOME Desktop."

Even worse, according to svn blame, I am the guilty one (r9272 for
the bad plugins). But looking at trac I can see that happened when
I was adding the gnome-3 stuff that Wayne had been working on -
before then, we apparently did not have the bad plugins. So, I
guess that at the time it was the right thing to do.

Now we do not really enable a gnome desktop, and anybody who did
build one would be using the current (1.4) series. So, I think this
is just something which has got left over. Any objections to me
removing that switch ?
