Putting a new DE into the book is a majot job. I have no objection
to using the "many packages on one page" approach as an initial
step, but I hope that the aim will be to have one page per package
(compare the systemd book's treatment of "kde5").

I do not want to do that for two reasons. First, very few people will want
to go through the packages one by one. Second, updating (IIRC) 68 pages
with every release is more work than editors really want to do. In other
words, the effort is not worth the benefit.

Actually, I've finally started to list the deps so I can see if I
can drop any of these from my possible test-build - and I see that
the systemd book has both the "download and build everything" page
("KDE Frameworks-5.11.0"), and then individual packages starting
with Attica.

I will also note that anybody who uses their own package management
system probably already treats each package individually. But -
your book, your rules.

No; our book and we agree on the rules.

One option is to add a section to the page that describes the uncommon dependencies for all the packages. That probably should be at the end though if we want to do it.
