On -support, Sylvain Etienne asked if the (7.7) book is correct that BerkeleyDB is an optional dep. I took a look, and posted my thoughts : I don't think it is (or rather, only older versions of BerkeleyDB) but I'm not sure if I diagnosed correctly.
