I don't have much to say, but in general, being just on DE problem,
making a general change doesn't seem appropriate (rerember systemd?).

Think that one good thing would be to put in configuration, for each
page, explain the possible problem, giving a sed command to change the
name with some explicit differentiating word (Gnome Terminal), for
English, and commenting that similar command would serve, with small
modifications, for the user locale.

That is right. But raising the question made me thing I should already
change Gnome Terminal. This box is rather new and I already have
Qterminal, LXTerminal and Terminal (Gnome).
