I've been working with upgrading kf5. What is new is that it now contains
oxygen-icons5-5.17.0 and breeze-icons-5.17.0. These really should go into
/usr/share/icons and not the kf5 directory. I'll need to create new pages
for them.
Since all icon themes can really be used by any desktop environment, I'm
thinking about moving all icon files to a separate section. The location
would be right after Window Managers so we would have a new chapter:
27. Icons
adwaita-icon-theme-3.18.0
breeze-icons-5.17.0
hicolor-icon-theme-0.15
icon-naming-utils-0.8.90
gnome-icon-theme-3.12.0
gnome-icon-theme-extras-3.12.0
gnome-icon-theme-symbolic-3.12.0
gnome-themes-standard-3.18.0
lxde-icon-theme-0.5.1
oxygen-icons-15.04.3
oxygen-icons5-5.17.0
I'm not sure about the difference between oxygen-icons-15.04.3 and
oxygen-icons5-5.17.0. The oxygen-icons5 package is missing CMakeLists.txt
as well as 8x8 and 22x22 icons. I can replace the short CMakeLists.txt
file on the page or as a separate download.
Although both oxygen-icons packages have a 'scalable' directory, neither
is installed using current instructions. I'm undecided about whether to
install it or not and would like opinions about that.
Overall, is this a reasonable thing to do?
