Now that most of my main build is completed, I went to test qupzilla. It failed to load my home page, just desplaying a flickering white background. The new tab button works, but I cannot type in the address bar.
Running from a term gave enormous amounts of output, with repeated Received signal 4 ILL_ILLOPN See http://www.spinics.net/lists/fedora-devel/msg223935.html (item 3) which links to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1364781 In particular comment 14 : glibc-2.24 now defines MADV_FREE. Patch is at http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/qt5-qtwebengine.git/plain/qtwebengine-opensource-src-5.7.0-glibc224.patch although the comment that MADV_FREE will fail when run on older Linux kernels seems misleading. I'll try to apply the patch (probably need to rediff it to apply to full qt) and rebuild qt to try it. :-( ĸen -- `I shall take my mountains', said Lu-Tze. `The climate will be good for them.' -- Small Gods -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
