Hmm, I think you said you like the Luxi TTF fonts (or did you mean Type1 ?). If people follow the book and install all core fonts, they get both the TTF and the scalable Type1 versions - generally, that seems like unnecessary redundancy.
I'm not super fussy about fonts. For konsole I use DejaVu Sans Mono at 11 points. For the console I use Terminus (ter-128n) but I am rarely doing much at the console. I generally ssh into my development system from a konsole instance. For seamonkey I use:
Fonts for: Western Proportional: Serif 14 Serif: Dejavu Serif Sans-serif: Dejavu Sans Cursive: Dejavu Serif Fantasy: Dejavu Seriv Monospace: Dejavu Sans Mono 14 Minimum font size: 12 Allow documents to use other fonts: not checked I rarely use LibreOffice, but The default there is Liberation Serif 12. For XFCE I sues Sans 10 with anti-aliasing but no hinting for sub-pixel order. I'm not sure about what other fonts are used on other apps. -- Bruce -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
