When building gvfs, I got:

configure: error: Package requirements (gcr-base-3) were not met:
No package 'gcr-base-3' found
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

But the book has gcr in optional deps. The above error can be suppressed
by passing "--disable-gcr" to configure, but maybe we should recommend
gcr for gvfs (I do not know much about this package, but I'd guess it
could help (auto)mounting usb sticks or CD". What do you think?
