Hi all
I just wanted to update my flashplayer plugin (binary from adobe, 64
bit), and Adobe now has upgraded to Version 24.0.0.186.
However, when I install it, flash content seems not to work anymore. Has
anybody experienced this as well and maybe found a solution?
I'm running Firefox 50.1.0, built per blfs instructions.
Cheers

Tim, I just tried it (without installing the configuration tools, just
libflashplayer.so itself) and no trouble. However, with the old, this
was usually a sign of a missing library or missing curl at runtime. The
library list has gotten much longer this time around, pango, atk, ffi,
harfbuzz, cairo... 'ldd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so'
should help, or run "/usr/bin/firefox
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/" from a terminal and see what
pops up.
It is very strange, I got it working by deinstalling the vlc mozilla
plugin. With the vlc plugin, I always got a video window. Anyway,
problem solved and certainly fully out of BLFS scope, as the vlc mozilla
plugin is not part of it.
Cheers
Tim
