Hi,

In the warning regarding previous compilation with autotools the new link
entries in the la files should be appended with -2.0 i.e

-lg{io,lib,module,object,thread} -> -lg{io,lib,module,object,thread}-2.0

Of course appropriate links could be made (unless I did something wrong, no
libgio.so etc. links are installed).

I also had three failures and two timeouts in the 'ninja test'. Two of the
failures disappeared after installing shared-mime-info (contenttype and
desktop-app-info). The third (mappedfile) is a 'no such file or directory'.
The
test puts a 'random data' file (actually some not-so-random ascii art) into
/tmp/xdg-allard/ and the directory xdg-allard is not there. Making this
directory clears the error, but I'm not sure if this is the object of the
exercise. One of the timeouts (network-address) disappears if I turn off my
modem. (The else for no connection in the test is empty. I have a pretty
fast
connection so that shouldn't be the problem). The other timeout (sequence) I
can't help much with. For what it's worth, the test defines N_TIMES 24, the
test
runs OK if I change this to 12.

I was installing on a vanilla 8.1 LFS stable and am now adjusting to the dev
version - that may have something to do with the errors. If so my
apologies. I
don't know why I didn't start with dev - maybe age?

Cheers,
Allard

PS. If this message appears twice it's because gmail just crashed on me.
