Hi all
I just investigated a bit further about my firefox / netflix problem and it
seems that firefox 57 seems to have a general problem regarding playback of
h264 videos.
It's easily check-able by calling

The solution apparently is to upgrade to the latest beta 58 of firefox. This
however will need rust 1.12.0, so it's gonna take a second for me to verify
that...
s/1.12.0/1.21.0/ :)
I've used 1.21.0, 1.22.1 and now 1.23.0. But 1.23.0 cannot build
ff57.0.4 (looks like a new warning got turned on somewhere and treated
as an error).
For all of these, remove the channel specification from config.toml.
Details for finding test successes/failures are similar (and the
failures are similar).
Oh, and for 1.23.0 I've been using PYTHON=/usr/bin/python3 for each
./x.py invocation.
Ok, I'll try 1.22.1 and firefox 57.0.4. I also use the harfbuzz
graphite2 patch, have never used it before.
On a side note: at least with rust 1.19, I had to disable system nspr
and system pixman. Is this a rust release thing?
I now also upgraded
webp to 0.6.1
x264 to 20170822-2245
and then
ffmpeg to 3.4.1
maybe that helps, too
Thanks and cheers
