Hi,

Libsndfile has only optional dependencies. This means it can be built early, without any sound library present. When pulseaudio is later built, the utility paplay, which is useful for testing sound, can only play .wav files, not .ogg, for example. So that libsndfile needs to be rebuilt for accessing more formats. Maybe it would be better to move some dependencies to recommended, namely, libogg, FLAC, and libvorbis.

What do you think?

Pierre
