Now that I've built firefox and icewm I'm able to run a more
comfortable desktop to check things: turns out it was my fault - I
had downloaded 2.60.0 but failed to update the version in my script.
With 2.60.0 the book's -Dselinux=disabled builds ok.
Giving up for the moment.
