I build glib both before and after xorg. If I am doing a validation
before release, I build glib before xorg, but I generally don't run
tests during the validation stage. When doing an update, I do run the
tests and build after xorg.
Note that for most packages I can run tests that need xorg over ssh.
What we say in glib is:
To test the results, after having installed the package, ...
That does not imply that running tests is mandatory.
