I've now built 78.0b4 with gcc (both 9.3 and 10.1) so whatever the
problem was, it has now disappeared. NB those were with python2
available, but i nthe log I can see
0:22.31 /scratch/working/firefox-78.0/configure
0:22.31 Creating Python 3 environment
0:22.31 Using base prefix '/usr'
0:22.31 New python executable in
/scratch/working/firefox-78.0/firefox-build-dir/_virtualenvs/init_py3/bin/python3
0:22.31 Also creating executable in
/scratch/working/firefox-78.0/firefox-build-dir/_virtualenvs/init_py3/bin/python
0:22.31 Installing setuptools, pip, wheel...
And then it uses python3.8 rather than python2.7 or python2.
Looking good.
I guess this will mean separating JS68 (to stay on 68, and I don't
see any real reason to move to 68.9) from firefox-78 when 78 is
released.
