Hi,

This morning, while updating to gcr-3.38, I realized that there was a
sed to change the schema path from "/desktop/gnome/crypto/pgp/" to
"/org/gnome/desktop/gnome/crypto/pgp/". It seemed a little weird, so I
looked at what some distros do: neither archlinux nor debian change
anything.

This sed, together with similar ones in the pages listed in the
subject, were added long ago "to fix deprecated paths". I am almost
sure this is not necessary. But even if it is, I'm almost sure (again)
that "modern" paths are either of the form "/org/gnome/..." or
"/org/freedesktop/...".

So the sed for gcr should be to "/org/gnome/crypto/pgp/", and a similar
one in gnome-keyring. For seahorse and gsettings-desktop-schemas, the
seds give a path of the right form.

But all in all do we need that? What does it fix?

Pierre
