Kind of, but it's still not clear how I got to the state I got to. The svn status actually showed D general/genlib/gmime3.xml suggesting that SVN thought the file had been deleted, even though it was there? The "svn revert" however, told me it had Reverted 'general/genlib/gmime3.xml' and now I have the newer (read current) file. I have also just checked out a brand new copy of the repo. FWIW, I don't usually do anything with these working copies, as they are just a place to pull the LFS repo content to.
