Hi everyone,

I have a problem starting xinetd during boot. Everything has been done as to the BOOK:
No problems during installation. blfs-bootscripts-20041227 are installed. /etc/rc.d/ininit.d have the relevent scripts./etc/xinetd.conf is ok. Then why does it NOT start at boot? Starting it from command-line it behaves funny:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/rsp# /etc/rc.d/init.d/xinetd start
Starting xinetd... [ OK ]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/rsp# /etc/rc.d/init.d/xinetd restart
Stopping xinetd... Not running [ WARN ]
Starting xinetd... [ OK ]

At halt it again shows: Not running [WARN]

What's the secret?

Installed is blfs-book-cvs-html-2005-01-28 on base system lfs6 - on P3 Compaq Presario.

Thanks in advance for the help.
