The thing is I've never connected two computers together before so I've no experience
of networking PC's, other than to connect to the internet. I've install a dhcp server
on the PC, the xbox is happy with the dhcp server. I can ping the xbox from the PC.
So the local network seems to be up. But the xbox is still complaining that it can't
see my ISP's nameservers, so it seems that packet forwarding isn't working. It would
be simpler to diagnose if it were a PC but I have to work with the xbox's automated
tools.
