I am running here with fetchmail --> postfix --> procmail -->spamd/spamc
--> procmail -->me. One user system - mail should be easy.

Things go haywire when I ever change the .fetchmailrc. One would think
that you could alter fetchmailrc, send a hup to fetchmail, and all would
be well, but no. At worst, one could shut down fetchmail, spamd, &
postfix, alter fetchmailrc, restart postfix, spamd, and fetchmail (In
that order each time) and nothing would know I ever changed
.fetchmailrc. But _even_that_ doesn't work cleanly.

The reason for the changes is that I have 2 boxes collecting only spam.
I leave them out of the fetchmailrc for a while, and then add them in to
collect the spam and check my system.

What goes wrong is that the first mailbox is collected, and delivery, on
the second mailbox (regardless of location) I get this from postfix in
mail.log

May 10 10:58:37 genius postfix/smtpd[362]: lost connection after CONNECT
from localhost.localdomain[127.0.0.1]

 and fetchmail.log is just saying

fetchmail: reading message [EMAIL PROTECTED]:1 of 13 (5783 octets)
Nothing ever comes. The next entry is a restart _without_ a newline

fetchmail: reading message [EMAIL PROTECTED]:1 of 13 (5783 octets) fetchmail:
starting fetchmail 6.2.5 daemon

Reboot, and all the mail comes in, and fetchmail removes a stale
lockfile. Whassup? Why do I have to reboot to change a **** config?
